Articles about Entertaiment

What’s entertainment for one person may be entertainment for another. This is why entertainment has been able to cross over different mediums so successfully, creating the familiar images and structures we all know. Whether a clown at a birthday party, a Broadway show or stadium rock concert, or even your friends fighting over the last potato chip, it all can be considered entertainment. The word entertain comes from the Latin inter tenere, meaning “to hold inside” and originally was associated with hospitality.

In modern times, entertainment is mainly seen as amusement or distraction and can take many forms. It often hits on themes that the human brain was evolved to react deeply to in order to survive and understand the world around it such as social backstabbing or murders.
